CALL TO A SPECIAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING TO VOTE ON THE NEW SENIOR MINISTER.

The Senior Minister Search Committee, after two and a half years of hard work, thoughtful analysis and prayerful consideration, has unanimously voted to present the Rev. Dr. Waterstone as the candidate for our Senior Minister position!
In accordance with the polity of the UCC, the congregation has the authority and responsibility to vote on and call its Senior Minister. Members are invited to worship at 10:00 a.m., when The Rev. Dr. Mark Waterstone will lead the service and preach.
Immediately following the service, members will have a time of discussion and then vote on extending a call.
The decision to call a minister is among the most significant actions in the life of a church –– in fact, the Rev. Dr. Mark Waterstone would only be the 13th Senior Minister in the 182 years of Southport Congregational Church’s history.
