Adam J. Lewis Academy transforms the life trajectories of underserved children in Bridgeport, CT. Their mission is to provide an enriching, nurturing, high-quality elementary experience, which will set the children on a path to success in school and in life.


Borroughs Community Center

Provides the residents of Bridgeport with program opportunities and facility resources for the purpose of promoting individual growth and community cohesiveness.


Bridgeport Rescue Mission

Bridgeport Rescue Mission demonstrates the love of God to hungry, homeless, and addicted people throughout Fairfield County, 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. They provide a place of hope and dignity through their New Life Program, which offers education, biblical counseling, and case management. This is how they are fighting poverty from the inside out.

Center for Family Justice

The Center for Women and Families provides a network of services that address the urgent and challenging issues of domestic abuse, sexual assault, and community awareness of these issues, this center, created in 1895 as the Young Women’s Christian Association, continues a tradition of support and services to women and families in the Greater Bridgeport area.


Connecticut Institute for  Refugees and Immigrants

The Connecticut Institute for Refugees and Immigrants (CIRI) is a statewide nonprofit organization that assists refugees and immigrants resolve legal, economic, linguistic and social barriers so that they become self-sufficient, integrated and contributing members of the community. CIRI achieves this mission by providing a compassionate array of high-quality legal, social and educational programming and by promoting cross-cultural understanding and decent treatment for all.


Council of Churches of Greater Bridgeport

Bridgeport Council of Churches is an ecumenical organization committed to serving those in need in the Greater Bridgeport area. They are the umbrella organization initiating and supporting several worthwhile causes: Project Learn, Bridge Building, Co-op Center, and Safe Places, to name a few.


Emerge

A local shelter for physically and emotionally abused women and children, Emerge changes the lives of people who have met great difficulties and who have overcome them.  It seeks to provide safe shelter and to provide life skills for a safe and successful future of its clients.


Hang Time/Her Time

Their goal is to enlighten, educate, entertain, de-conflict and problem-solve through discussion. They seek to provide specific ex-offenders and group/gang members diagnosed and yet to be diagnosed with Post & Present Traumatic Stress a choice in mental health treatment while also helping them navigate social services. https://vimeo.com/769222396/5253e0186f


Homes For The Brave

Provides safe housing, vocational training and job placement, mental health and addiction services, and life skills coaching to help individuals, especially Veterans, leave homelessness behind.


Horizons: Greens Farms Academy  and Sacred Heart University

A multi-faceted summer enrichment program for children of low-income families form Lower Fairfield County in Connecticut. Horizons encourages children and gives them a chance to improve their academic and social skills to help them reach their full potential.


Kennedy Center

The Kennedy Center is a not-for-profit rehabilitation agency supporting more than 1,500 children and adults with disabilities with vocational, residential, educational, therapeutic, social and recreational programs throughout the State of Connecticut.


 Mercy Learning Center

Mercy Learning Center of Bridgeport, Inc. provides basic literacy and life skills training to low-income women using a holistic approach within a compassionate, supportive environment. All women are welcome without regard for race, religion, color, creed, sexual orientation or national origin.


 Missionary Society of Connecticut

The mission arm of our Connecticut state conference of the United Church of Christ, it is a resource for both ministers and lay people in matters relating to the church. Our annual donation is split between the Connecticut Conference (1/3) and the UCC National Organization (2/3).


 Operation Hope Pantry

Operation Hope is provides a variety of helpful services to people who are hungry, homeless and at-risk of homelessness. 


Pivot Ministries

Pivot’s mission is to treat drug and alcohol addiction as a spiritual problem and return the men to their families usefully whole. 


Simply Smiles

Simply Smiles is a not-for-profit organization that provides bright futures for impoverished children, their families, and their communities. From the mountains of Mexico to the prairies of the American west, the unique and holistic Simply Smiles approach has proven to be impactful - sustainable - scalable - and successful.


SHEPHERDS MENTOR PROGRAM

Shepherds empowers inner-city Connecticut teens to build a foundation for success by providing a college preparatory education at a private high school, academic and life skills programs, and the positive influence and support of a committed Shepherds Mentor.


The Southport School

Located in the heart of Southport, The Southport School provides an environment dedicated to helping children overcome their learning problems. 


St. George’s Community Supper

Hosted by St. George’s Episcopal Church on Clinton Avenue in Bridgeport, this program offers hot meals to the hungry every Monday night. We provide and serve the meal for them on the fifth Monday of every month.
